Yare Fact: Yare has a soft spot for animals of all kinds!

Claudia Gutierrez is a Latina born in Laredo, Texas and raised in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Growing up, her family had a passion for music, always surrounding themselves with the sounds of mariachi music such as Luis Miguel, Vicente Fernandez, Jose Jose, and more. It wasn’t until middle school where she got the opportunity to move back to Laredo where she picked up the trumpet in order to play in the band. After a year of being in the band, Claudia caught herself being interested in the other music class across the hall. That music class happened to be mariachi taught by Ruben Guadian.

Once joining mariachi, Yare continued learning and playing Mariachi until she graduated HS in 2020. After graduating, she auditioned for a spot in a local mariachi called Mariachi Los Arrieros. In the group, she had the opportunity to accompany Los Tigres Del Norte as they toured across Laredo.

Claudia runs her own small crafts business, iCloud Creations, and is currently pursuing a degree in music education. She hopes to one day inspire young girls to pursue their dreams in the male-dominated mariachi industry.
