Taytum's dedication culminated in her serving as section leader during all four years at Seguin High School, where she earned accolades such as regional mariachi placements and recognition as an outstanding performer at UIL in 2023, as well as a 3 time national vocal finalist in the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza. Now studying music education with a focus on vocal studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Taytum is an active member of Mariachi Los Paisanos and the UTSA Concert Choir.
